Ashtanga Vinyasa Yoga

Very likely the original template of modern Vinyasa yoga styles, these specific sequences are meant to support the physical comfort and longevity of practitioners. The Ashtanga Vinyasa Yoga sequence delivers maximum benefit when the student takes on the study and practices with consistency over time.

The clear guidance of a teacher helps instill safe patterns; from Sun Salutations A & B through the standing, seated, & closing sequences. The asana sequences align the body with the flow of Prana (life-force/breath), which gently strengthens, opens & heals the body through mindful repetition. The consistent flow pattern makes it easy to practice between classes.

Entry-Level Vinyasa class teaches students the foundations of asana/poses. Intended to develop internal focus and safety from the start, this class places quality over quantity. All levels are welcome.

Mysore-Style format is well suited for those with prior yoga experience &/or who want to learn/practice the Ashtanga Vinyasa sequence with a teacher in the room. The 90-minute time frame is a container for students to practice at their own pace for as long as they need. Knowing the entire conventional sequence is not required.
